Amtel Charity Foundation was founded out of a deep commitment to humanity, our goal is to bridge the gap in access to education and basic needs for the most vulnerable members of our communities.
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through education, compassion, and community empowerment. Based in Borno State, Nigeria, our foundation is driven by a passion to uplift orphans, vulnerable children, and underserved communities.
We proudly provide free education and full support to most of the students in Amtel Academy and Amtel Islamiya, helping them dream bigger and build a better future. With your support, we can continue to change lives—one child at a time.

Amina Modu Tela Sheriff is a committed humanitarian, seasoned educator, and respected social impact leader with a deep-rooted dedication to community development. She is the founder of the Amtel Charity Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on improving the lives of vulnerable populations through targeted interventions in education, healthcare, and sustainable development. Under her leadership, the foundation has initiated programs that address critical needs, particularly among underserved communities, with a focus on long-term empowerment rather than short-term relief.
Driven by a belief in the power of education to break cycles of poverty, Amina also founded Amtel Academy an inclusive learning institution that offers high-quality education to children from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. The academy places a strong emphasis on character development, critical thinking, and accessibility, ensuring that students especially those from underprivileged backgrounds are equipped with the tools they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
Amina earned her degree in Political Science from the University of Maiduguri. Her life and work experiences across both Maiduguri and Abuja have given her a nuanced perspective on the diverse challenges Nigerian communities face, from conflict-affected areas in the Northeast to urban centers grappling with inequality and access to basic services.
In her personal life, Amina is a devoted wife and mother of four. Her family and community play a central role in shaping her values and motivating her continued service. Her work reflects a consistent vision: building systems that support dignity, opportunity, and growth for all especially the most marginalized. Through both her foundation and educational initiatives, Amina remains steadfast in her mission to create meaningful, lasting impact that includes empowering individuals, families, and communities, one step at a time.
